This website

The site uses static pages served by a CDN. The CDN processes IP addresses and access logs. We record page visits with statinside.com. Pressing the download button records time, IP address, browser user agent and referral source. Then it redirects to the installer.

We count downloads to see how many people use DevSignal. The count records the time, IP address, browser user agent and referral source (if any). This helps us plan updates.

The DevSignal app

The app runs locally on your PC. It sends no telemetry to us. Your API keys stay on the machine. Chats and working folders stay on your PC. Secrets in tool output are redacted before they reach the model. Prompts go only to the endpoint you pick.

With a local model nothing leaves the machine. With a cloud model the prompt goes to that provider. You control the connection.

Optional features that use the network

Web search can use an anonymizing network. You can switch this feature off. Control chats from a phone browser uses one outbound connection. You can switch this off too. Update checks use the network. You see the Update button when a new version is ready.

Your choices

You choose the model endpoint. You choose the approval mode. Auto-run runs actions immediately. Ask first pauses before changes. Plan only writes a plan. You review the diff before accepting. You keep the work to your own systems.
